A month ago I had started the challenge of creating an online presence for the NGO, Karoo African Global Institute For Sport Development (KAGISDE). Within this month, I had created a Facebook page. Instagram Page, a YouTube and also a blog site for the NGO. their task on behalf of them. I spoke to Mr Senteni, the director of the KAGISDE, and he was very willing to give me information about his company and also excited for the opportunity as they had never had any sort of online presence. I expected that my ambitious journey on page creating an online presence for an organization that never had one would be quite challenging. As the organization heavily relied on its stakeholders that it had worked with to do
I realized that I was going to his a speed bump when I had to compile the blog entries. The entries required information on the events and work that my organisation work on and as well as photos. My organisation did not have these and I could only find the on the social media pages of other organisation they had worked with. You can imagine the could be difficult as a lot of the the stories were centralised on what the other organisation had done and very little was said about KAGISDE. However I used MR. Senteni and the some of the story to write for my blogs. The other challenged that was that growing of engagement and followers. This I found difficult because from zero no real online reputation but I contacted stakeholder which the organisation had good relationships with, to help follow and promote our page.
I found this journey overwhelming at times but I enjoy as it give me an experience of what is to come. Even though it has many shortfalls, it provides learning curves.
